The shell is moulded rather than cut flat, so it follows the tendon instead of pressing across it. The lining is smooth-faced and quick-drying.
Replace the straps when the elastic goes rather than the whole boot. Left in daily use, it comes back from a season looking like it has been cared for rather than survived.
