Imbotto sits between saddle and horse in anatomically shaped leather — thin enough not to change the fit, shaped enough to stay out of the spine.
Anatomically shaped leather against the horse, wicking and smooth-faced, with a spine channel that stays open under load rather than flattening onto the vertebrae.
No softener: it clogs the wicking and the pad stops working. It takes a winter of mud and a summer of sweat without giving up.
