Kept in the box of a yard that turns out twenty horses before breakfast, Manto is the piece that gets replaced last.
Impact-resistant polymer housing with ceramic-coated blades, with the bristle set deep and glued from the back so it does not shed into the coat.
A brush that has gone hard can be softened in warm water rather than thrown away. It takes a winter of mud and a summer of sweat without giving up.
Spare parts and replacement straps stay available for years, because tack is bought to be repaired rather than replaced.
