Montebrio Custom-Fitted Competition Saddle, Bridle Leather

Montebrio is a custom-fitted competition saddle built on double-oak-tanned bridle leather on a spring tree — the sort of saddle you stop noticing by the second week, which is the only compliment that matters.

The tree is checked for symmetry before the leather goes on, and the stirrup bars are recessed so nothing sits under the rider's thigh. Billets are triple-stitched to a webbing anchor rather than tacked into the tree.

Store it on a proper rack, not over a door, or the panels will take the shape of whatever it is hanging on. A year of five-day weeks leaves marks on the leather and nothing worse.
