Under the flap of Falconetti the panels are wool-flocked, which means a saddler can adjust them to the horse in front of them rather than the horse the factory imagined.
The tree is checked for symmetry before the leather goes on, and the stirrup bars are recessed so nothing sits under the rider's thigh. Billets are triple-stitched to a webbing anchor rather than tacked into the tree.
Have the fit checked twice a year and after any change in the horse's workload — a saddle that fitted in May rarely fits the same in October. Wash it, oil it, and it will outlast several of the horses it is fitted to.
Spare parts and replacement straps stay available for years, because tack is bought to be repaired rather than replaced.
