Scudetto protects the part of the leg a horse hits first, in fleece-lined cotton, sized cob, full.
The shell is moulded rather than cut flat, so it follows the tendon instead of pressing across it. The lining is smooth-faced and quick-drying.
Rinse them after every use; grit left inside a boot is what causes the rub, not the boot. It takes a winter of mud and a summer of sweat without giving up.
Spare parts and replacement straps stay available for years, because tack is bought to be repaired rather than replaced.
