Five hundred rubber bands in a resealable tub, sized for a mane rather than an office. They hold a plait without cutting into the hair and pull out with a quick seam ripper instead of a fight.
The rubber is soft enough to stretch twice round a thick plait and firm enough not to slacken overnight, which is the difference between a show morning that starts at six and one that starts at four.
Available in black, brown and white — pick the one nearest the mane and the bands disappear.
