Cavallante Two-Horse Trailer, Steel

For an amateur competing at national level, Cavallante is the difference between a five-minute load and a forty-minute argument.

Full-height padding on the partitions, a rubber-on-ply floor laid over a galvanised chassis, and roof vents that move air without letting rain in.

Have the floor checked every year — it is the one component that fails without warning. A year of five-day weeks leaves marks on the leather and nothing worse.

Spare parts and replacement straps stay available for years, because tack is bought to be repaired rather than replaced.
