Cavalleta Monoflap Dressage Saddle, Calfskin

Cavalleta is a monoflap dressage saddle built on full-grain calfskin over a laminated beech tree — the sort of saddle you stop noticing by the second week, which is the only compliment that matters.

The tree is checked for symmetry before the leather goes on, and the stirrup bars are recessed so nothing sits under the rider's thigh. Billets are triple-stitched to a webbing anchor rather than tacked into the tree.

Store it on a proper rack, not over a door, or the panels will take the shape of whatever it is hanging on. Wash it, oil it, and it will outlast several of the horses it is fitted to.

Spare parts and replacement straps stay available for years, because tack is bought to be repaired rather than replaced.
