Verdello Dressage Saddle, Synthetic

Made for a yard that turns out twenty horses before breakfast, Verdello is a dressage saddle with a deep enough seat to be secure and a flat enough one to sit still.

The tree is checked for symmetry before the leather goes on, and the stirrup bars are recessed so nothing sits under the rider's thigh. Billets are triple-stitched to a webbing anchor rather than tacked into the tree.

Wipe the sweat off after every ride and feed the leather once a month; that is the whole routine. A year of five-day weeks leaves marks on the leather and nothing worse.
